Football stadiums via Google Earth

Much like my Baseball stadiums via Google Earth post I have now decided, especially in light of Super Bowl Sunday, (which is somewhat of a national holiday whether you like football or not) to post a football stadiums via Google Earth extravaganza, brace yourself.

A couple of notes:

1) Google Earth had no high res image of Lambeau Field in Green Bay.
2) A number of the newer stadiums are shown under construction. I couldn't really find any construction sites of other new stadiums that are soon to be complete, such as the Cardinals.
3) I have included a few old stadiums, the ones I could find, they are below the teams which used to play there prior to moving. In this case it applies to Arizona, Oakland and Tennessee.

Arizona Cardinals

Busch Stadium (St. Louis Cardinals)

Atlanta Falcons

Baltimore Ravens

Buffalo Bills

Carolina Panthers

Chicago Bears

Cincinnati Bengals

Cleveland Browns

Dallas Cowboys

Denver Broncos

Detroit Lions

Houston Texans (Astrodome right)

Indianapolis Colts

Jacksonville Jaguars

Kansas City Chiefs

Miami Dolphins

Minnesota Vikings

New England Patriots

New Orleans Saints, however

LSU Tiger Stadium (Baton Rouge) &

the Alamodome (San Antonio)
are where the Saints played this
year.

New York Giants & Jets

Oakland Raiders

Los Angeles Coliseum (L.A. Raiders)

Philadelphia Eagles

Pittsburgh Steelers

San Diego Chargers

San Francisco 49ers

Seattle Seahawks

St. Louis Rams

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Tennessee Titans

The Astrodome (Houston Oilers)

Washington Redskins

On August 29, 2006 Sony Ericsson Mobile Communications announced the signing of a four year contract worth $20 million to become the title sponsor of the Sony Ericsson Open. The Sony Ericsson Open is currently the largest tournament in the world with Title Sponsorship. When Butch Buchholz established the event in 1985, it marked the first time in 56 years that a new two-week tournament featuring men and women was launched. Located in Delray Beach (Laver’s International Tennis Center) in 1985 and Boca Raton (Boca West) in 1986, the tournament found a permanent home in 1987 on Miami’s Key Biscayne. In 1994, Miami-Dade County christened the Tennis Center at Crandon Park, a 30-acre expanse that is transformed each year from a public tennis facility into a full-fledged festival for the Sony Ericsson Open. The Sony Ericsson Open was awarded “Tournament of the Year” by the ATP for five consecutive years and seven of the last eight years and in 2004 by the Sony Ericsson WTA Tour and is considered one of the most prestigious titles in professional tennis. In 1999, the tournament was purchased by IMG.
